Ars Poetica

Art is play. Let's think about it what expressions we use in connection with the process of the creation. Actors play, and you call both tragedies and comedies play. Musicians play their instruments too. The artist has a special mask shown by his role or a point of view with the help of which he represents a character, mood, feeling or a color. He doesn't play himself, he is in somebody else's shoes.

Art is communication for the sake of having influence on someone. The artist doesn't talk about himself, he impresses someone recapturing of others. A character's a season's or the lights of the Cathedral of Rouen. Even though if he sometimes creates a self portrait or autobiography, he stays away from himself, his portrait is painted looking at himself from outside. Although work mirrors his own world, the artist doesn't show himself directly. It makes him different from amateurs.

The amateur's characteristics are to hold his internal organs up for the public and self-fulfilling put on a pedestal. The artist is always selfcontrolled, he is the magician who never gets under the spell of his own magic.

Art means how rules appear in work of art. Every game has rules. As God always plays, so does the artist. The best he can do is to become a part of God's play. If he plays independently of him, he plays God and he falls.
